Key Account / Business Development Manager




Our client, a reputable, established company is looking for a Key Account / Business Development Manager to join their team as a full-time employee. Although this is a remote position, you will need to be based out of a major city in Texas (preferred), OK, AR or KS. Candidates based out of a major city in MO, NE, IA or MN may be considered. There will be up to 75% travel in your territory including: TX (60% of clients), LA, OK, AR, KS, MO, NE, IA, MN, ND and SD. There will be occasional travel to IL and Canada (few times a year). As a Key Account / Business Development Manager, you will handle the growth of powdered coating sales in medium to large OEMs, support the regionalized Focus Application Target Group, provide assistance to the Sales team to overcome obstacles and reach common goals, as well as support the Great Place to Work environment. Responsibilities:


 


Strategy Development


* Conduct market and competitive analysis


* Source new clients


* Develop individual account plans


* Participate in the development of marketing goals and objectives


 


New Business Development


* Meet with target accounts


* Collaborate with sales representatives


Support reps in closing the sale


* Transition accounts to sales rep


 


Marketing Support Services


Participate in marketing activities including trade shows, exhibitions, product launches and promotions


 


Administrative Services


Enter and maintain data in Pipeliner


Required Qualifications :

Requirements:


* 3+ years of Business Development experience. 


* Experience with sales hunting (primarily) and managing key accounts (medium to large OEMs, Applicators, etc.). A current territory-based book of business would be preferred, so you can hit the ground running.


* Recent (last 2-3 years) Powder Coating industry experience to include solid knowledge and contacts within this market.


* Ability to work out of a home office; close to a major airport.


* Strong presentation, communication, customer service and organization skills.


* Strong Microsoft Office and CRM skills. SAP experience is a plus.


* Ability to travel up to 75% of the time in your assigned territory. Travel to IL and Canada for company meetings a few times a year. 


* Flexibility to work occasional extended hours as needed.


* Experience in marketing activities is an asset.
