Brand Manager

Our client, a sports manufacturing company located in Upstate NY, experiencing hyper-growth with a portfolio of major brands, is seeking a Brand Manager reporting to the CEO. You can work out of the Upstate NY office, or remotely and then travel. The Brand Manager is a great opportunity with a rapidly growing organization that offers the potential to lead to greater responsibility and promotions quickly. This position is a critical addition to the team with high visibility within the organization.

The candidate must have an entrepreneurial drive to manage the wide range of activities that grow a business from the strategic planning that drives brand sales to the operational minutia that insures tactical success.

This is an opportunity to manage a portfolio of products, to collect category management insights that support growth and development platforms, identify gaps and opportunities in the market and develop new product offerings that exploit these opportunities, and to manage media plan elements, e-commerce strategy and brand partnerships for a growing brand. In addition, she/he will participate in brand communications activities and will lead a variety of projects in this arena throughout the year. 

Required Qualifications :

* BA/BS plus MBA, strongly preferred.

* 6-10 years of proven success in brand management at classical CPG companies selling to retailers, dealers, consumers and mass channels and a desire for general management experience, managing internal and external teams, managing strategy and tactics, in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.  

* Go To Market Marketing Strategy experience.

* Strong strategic skills.

* Keen understanding of marketing mix fundamentals and the ability to execute against those fundamentals. 

* Excellent presentation and communications skills.
